Biography of Matt Jones
I started racing bikes in 2006 my freshman year at Purdue University were I won two collegiate races, the Purdue Criterium and the Western Michigan Road Race. I earned my first non-collegiate win that summer, after winning a stage in the Traders Point Time Trial Series.

In 2007 I raced for Purdue’s Team Time Trial that won at MWCCC Regional’s before transferring to Marian University were I would finish 19th in the Individual Pursuit at 2007 Collegiate Track Nationals and was a member of the Championship Team that year as well.

I became a member of USA Pista Elite Cycling Team in 2008 and earned two wins on the Track before upgrading to a Cat 2 and finished 19th in the Sprints Tournament at the Collegiate Track Nationals. That Summer while racing for Pista I earned 3rd place finishes at, Eagle Creek Fast Crit, Red River Gorge Crit., and Zionsville GP.

My 2009 season, became a break out year for me on the track, where I would go on to win 5 state titles, the Kilo, 200meter, Sprints Tournament, Team Sprint, and Team Pursuit, while racing for Pista Elite. In addition I won MWCCC Regional titles in the 200meter, the Scratch race and Collegiate Team Sprints. At the 2009 Collegiate Track Nationals I was member of the Team Championship Team, a member of the Collegiate Team Sprint Championship Team, where I finished 20th in the Kilo, 9th in the Sprints Tournament, and 5th in the 200 meter.

I am looking forward to a successful season on the road and track this upcoming season racing for Pista Elite in 2010.
