Andrew first got involved in cycling in 2006, at the age of thirteen. That first year, he completed his first century ride, on a mountain bike. The following year, he again completed that century, but also decided he wanted to start riding competitively. He placed 2nd., in the mountain bike division of his first race, Tour de Tamarack. In 2008, as Andrew bought his first road bike and competed in several races, but he used one-day licenses and didn't really know how to train correctly. Starting in 2009, Andrew decided to take his passion for cycling to the next level, so he found a coach and joined Pista Elite. Although up until this point he hasn't had much training. Andrew has set high goals for himself as a cyclist, even though he knows he has a lot to learn. He wants to be competing on a national level within ten years, and although he knows these are lofty goals, dreams of racing in the 2016 Olympics or racing for a pro team keep him motivated and trying his hardest.
Andrew currently lives in Canal Fulton, Ohio and is a student at Northwest High School. He plans to attend college majoring in Exercise Physiology, or Sports Administration. Upon graduation his goals are to start his own coaching business.
